Hello and welcome to the “Liquid Aire” blog. Searching for new music and sharing it with you has been a passion of mine for several years. There has never been anything more exciting than finding a new musician and revealing his or her interpretations of life through sound. Today there are numerous musicians that do not get the recognition they deserve. They either make it big or not at all.  This leaves a rather large gap known as the “independent category” that is frequently ignored by top-40 charts.  On this blog I will recognize some of these musicians and feature an audio post that will let you get an idea of what their music sounds like.

In 1997, I launched my first public radio program “New Frontiers” (heard onWHIL 91.3 fm) that exposed the aforementioned “unaccredited independent music”.  As the years went by, I realized that I was covering too narrow of a genre (generally New Age) and had to re-organize the format.  In 2003 I returned to WHIL 91.3fm with “Liquid Aire: Ultra Chilled Radio” and began covering all genres from rock to jazz, electronic to world in a down-tempo chilled theme.  Today I am still discovering invigorating forms of audio art from all over the globe and welcome you to enjoy this music as much as I do.

Wow- Great Blog- I love how you describe reviewing music as revealing his/her interpertations of life through sound. I know you said your expanding your genres- but would you consider reviewing a new age album again? Just a thought we actually put together a CD specifically for yoga meditation market. There are several tracks on our myspace (more to come as well) that you can listen to for free (www.myspace.com/bayareacontemporarymusic).

    Hi Chris,

Great blog! I wanted to drop you a link to a couple of tracks from Paisley Babylon’s Midnight Hallucinations release. Please feel free to distribute these free downloads any way you wish if you like the tracks. Keep up the great work and I look forward to reading more Liquid Aire!

    On the album:
From the press info at Turntabling.net:

Midnight Hallucinations is exactly what the name implies–a collection of sonic excursions into the scary underbrush of your subconscious. If Eno described his ambient works as being full of “evil and doubt”, by comparison Paisley Babylon’s Midnight Hallucinations are chemically-altered space voyages where dream logic rules and gravity is only a theoretical possibility.

Take a trip with two free Paisley Babylon tracks from Midnight Hallucinations:
